XELOS has always improved communication between users at different locations.

In our latest version, we are now significantly expanding these possibilities and simplifying the exchange between employees in different countries or different languages.

With the new Translation Add-on, XELOS can now translate content and conversations into all languages available in the system and automatically display the content to the user in their local language. Collaboration in international teams and companies has never been so fast and uncomplicated!

Thanks to the new real-time translation function, employees from different language areas can now communicate with each other in real time.

The system translates the content directly in the chat as well as in discussions in forums and microblogs and displays it to the participants in their respective national language. In this way, XELOS facilitates the exchange of knowledge across several countries and enables quick decisions to be made in networked teams.

This cross-language communication also offers a decisive advantage in companies with projects in different countries. This means that a question that has arisen in your own project can also be shared with other colleagues from other countries and answered more quickly and more thoroughly. In this way, there is a direct transfer of knowledge between the company's employees.

International knowledge management

It is crucial for joint collaboration that content such as news, articles and wiki documents on projects are understood directly by everyone.

Content as well as the status posts and conversations are now translated directly into the respective national language of the registered user and marked accordingly. The quality of the translations is already very good thanks to modern technologies. If a detail is still unclear, the user can display the original post and compare it.

This direct translation of content is of course extremely important for ongoing projects so that information and tasks can be quickly understood by all colleagues involved. In the long term, this also contributes to international knowledge management. You can also view completed projects retrospectively or view details of a project from another country for comparison.

Translation for content editors

Internal communication - world wide

In addition to promoting exchange and collaboration in international projects, the social intranet often also offers a central point of contact for employees with internal questions.

For many customers, the XELOS intranet is also the central company portal and is read by all employees worldwide. This presents editors from different departments and countries with the challenge that their content is required immediately in several languages or that they have to take several readers into account when answering questions.

The new translation add-on therefore offers numerous options for translating your own content into the required languages in real time during content creation and in forms.

Multilingual search

Find new knowledge

The system-wide search is the quickest way to find content within your intranet and is therefore an important function that promotes the transfer of knowledge.

The new translation add-on expands the existing search options and also makes created content automatically available in all languages in the search. Employees can therefore not only easily search for information in their own language, but also see whether colleagues in other countries have written and collected information on the requested topics. Of course, employees can then display the results found in their own language.

Focus on innovative expansion

Connecting neural networks to XELOS

At the heart of these new functions and options is the newly developed translation add-on. This checks all requests in the XELOS system, processes them internally and then sends them to a translation engine via API. Here at XELOS, we work closely with the manufacturers of translation services to ensure that multilingual communication and work on content is as smooth and automatic as possible for users.

The translation add-on is not only the crucial link, but also processes the information at extremely high speed. It compares this with the respective language settings of each user, checks whether translated versions of the required information are already available and then decides which content needs to be translated.

Engines from external, professional translation services are responsible for translating the information and content processed in this way. They only receive the anonymized texts from our translation add-on and then translate them into the requested language with the help of neural networks. We attach great importance to maintaining high security and data protection standards and only work with translation services that support these high standards. Data is anonymized, transmitted in random sequences and encrypted and is not stored by the translation services, but deleted after processing. The translation add-on receives the translations back and then reassembles them for the respective content, conversations and users. The results are saved in order to avoid having to translate the same content again and to further increase the speed for users. When developing the new translation function in XELOS, smooth use and data security were therefore the top priorities.
