Groups and Departments

Departments, communities, teams, locations or after-work sports: with the group module, you can easily create group rooms for every need.

A variety of apps such as task KANBAN, wiki, forum or document management are available in this area. This promotes collaboration regardless of working model and is ideal for remote work or cross-location projects.

Public or closed groups

Depending on your requirements, both open and closed groups can be configured in XELOS. Public groups are particularly suitable for general, non-sensitive content for a broad user group, while closed groups are ideal for project-related collaboration. Both groups can display their own activity feed and be expanded with functions such as calendars, forums or document management systems. Furthermore, you can define areas within a group that should not be visible to all group members.

Groups can be created easily with just a few clicks, without any programming effort. This allows virtual teams to be formed quickly, regardless of the location or device of the respective users.

Easily create and manage groups

All settings for a group are now clearly displayed in a modal window, giving you, as the moderator or group administrator, a quick overview. Hidden content, rights management and content pages can also be adjusted via the window.

Departmental Pages

Department pages function similarly to groups, but unlike groups, you can simply follow them instead of becoming a member. Furthermore, they are less about collaboration and more about gathering and disseminating information. They give your employees a quick overview of various areas, such as HR or IT. FAQs and wikis can help relieve the burden on your departments, and if something is too complex, you can see the contact persons for the relevant departments at a glance.

A plethora of applications and opportunities

Within a group, you are provided with extensive groupwork tools that guarantee a targeted exchange of communication on specific topics: for example, news, tasks, calendar, forum, wiki and DMS. Each group can be configured individually and adapted to the respective purpose.
